Validation!

So, this little video is great! I love it! I saw this back in September or something, Shaina posted it on Facebook, and I thought it was great! But last week my roommate was feeling kind of down so I told her she needed to watch this video, and we've been having a blast ever since validating people! My roommates and I all posted it on our Facebook statuses and I've seen it show up on a lot of peoples Facebook, so I decided to post it here as well, since it's so great! SO we're spreading the good word, validation! You are great! You are amazing! You GIVE! I just have to say that this is all do to Shaina, cause she gives, and is sooo amazing! Watch it, you'll love it!

A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words!

Okay, so Shara tagged me in her picture perfect post, so I have to do it! Here is my picture!

Here's another of me with the Gun!!! First time I've ever even held a gun!

So, this is from my first shooting experience! I got to shoot an AK47! It was a lot of fun, I went with a friend of mine, and we had a great time, it was amazing how loud and powerful the gun was, it almost knocked me off my feet a couple times! ;) I have to say I felt pretty powerful with that huge gun in my hands, you sure don't wanna mess with me! Ha! Well, actually I'd be more scared that I'd accidentally hit you, it was pretty hard to aim, but sooooooo fun! :)

Oh and P.S.
We went last April, and it was a pretty warm day at first but Crazy Utah weather kicked in and when we got to the shooting range it was freezing and SNOWED!

Senior MTC! I LOVE my Job!

I work at the MTC, the best job ever! Not only do I work there, but I get to work with the most wonderful Senior Couples! I've been tutoring the Senior Couples in tagalog, and it is so fun! They are amazing and I learn so much from them! A lot of them are in their 60's-70's and they work sooo hard! I'm amazed at how fast they are learning! Some of them struggle more than others. :) Some I have to spend the entire time on Pronunciation, while others move right along!

One of the neatest things I've been able to do recently is "Guide" two couples in Samoan! I don't speak Samoan! But it's been really fun! We use volunteers to teach pronunciation and grammar, while I guide the lesson, tell them what to study and make sure that they're working hard! :) I've learned sooo much from this experience, because usually the volunteer ends up teaching me as well! I realized though, that the easiest way for them to learn is by speaking, not trying to understand every aspect of the grammar, but putting words into sentences! Hopefully this will help when I'm teaching tagalog! I've also learned a little Samoan, like, Malo lava! Very Good! and, 'O le aiga o a'u. This is my family! I think! Or Lo matou Tama O' e lalagi. Matou te fa'afetai atu ia te oe le perofeta soifua. Matou te fa'afetai atu ia te oe lo matou aiga! Matou te ole atu ia te oi e puipui le aiga. E le soufa o e Iesu Keriso, Amene. Iyan!!! Which means,Our Father in Heaven, We're thankful for a living prophet. We're thankful for our family. We ask thee to protect our family. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. That was a prayer in Samoan! I'm that good! :) Anyway it's been a lot of fun to learn this language, and I want to continue learning it! BUT, now they found a great samoan teacher, so I'm back to just Tagalog. It's sad, but who knows what language they could ask me to "Guide" next! ;)

The Waltz!

Soooo, it's been a really long time since I posted anything! I'm only posting something now for Shara, because she's the only person that actually checks my blog anyway but here's something interesting to write about.

So I've been taking a 280 ballroom dance class and it is sooo fun! We just started the Waltz! It is my favorite, I love it! I love feeling so elegant, like you're floating on a cloud, I think it is the most romantic dance ever! I was practicing with a friend the other day, and he taught me a little of the Viennese and it was even more fun! I just can't get enough and would do it all the time if I could! Anyway, that's all I wanted to say about that! I think everyine should learn how to do the waltz, you'll feel like a princess!
